Hiroki Rule

Hiroki Rule is a Perth based photographer born and raised in Western Australia. He became interested in art at the young age of 11, spending hours around the ocean with a camera in hand. Growing up along the WA coastline shaped how he sees light, texture and movement, and that coastal influence continues to run through his work.

His style balances chaos with calm. Nature and people sit at the centre of his work, particularly the ocean and the character of everyday Australians. He embraces inconsistency as part of his process, allowing each piece to respond honestly to mood and environment, reflecting the real contrasts of life in Australia.
